About Parrots is a division of The Parrot Nannies of Minnesota
Incorporated. Juli Sands presents beautiful, exotic and majestic
trained parrots to entertain and educate the public.
Juli
is co-owner of The Parrot Nannies of Minnesota Incorporated.
Juli
has also been a member of The Minnesota Companion Bird Association for
8 years. Juli currently holds the position of President
and
Membership Director for the MCBA. Juli has a growing passion
for
these intelligent and beautiful creatures. Having the ability
to
share her love, passion and knowledge of these birds and sharing the
beauty and the care needs for these birds is a dream come true for
Juli.
Juli along with the help of Sam, a 6-year-old Blue
and Gold Macaw, Abbey, a 7-year-old Umbrella Cockatoo, and Powder, a
16-year-old Lesser Sulfur Crested Cockatoo will entertain and amaze you.
Our
show consists of information about the native lands and habitats of
each of these birds. You will learn how to properly care for
these birds that have the intelligence of a 3 to 5 year old child and
have life spans of 60 to 100 years (depending upon species and
care).

Just
a few show highlights are: Abbey entertains by roller skating to the
music of Brand New Key. Powder will amaze you with her
intelligence in placing the correct color Popsicle in the matching cup.
Powder will do a 4-part maze to the music of Henry Mancinni*s Elephant
Walk, picks up her toys and places them in her *Little Red
Wagon*. For the grand finale, Sam honors our service men,
women
and families by raising the flag to The Star Spangled Banner and
finishes with a salute to *our* flag.
Powder,
a Lesser Sulfur Crested Cockatoo will teach about recycling and saving
our natural resource by showing you how she can recycle trash.

You
will also meet Pipin, a 3 year old Timnah African Gray
parrot.
Pipin is new to the show and is doing great as he gets a ride on a car
from Powder.
For really large groups, occasional appearances
from Baby a very animated 6-year-old Blue and Gold Macaw and Captain a
big and beautiful, a 6-year-old Blue and Gold Macaw can allow hands on
opportunity and pose for photos if the opportunity presents itself at
clients* request.
Passionate
About Parrots
is available for birthday parties, Bat Mitzvahs,
Conformation/Graduation parties, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Day Care,
churches and schools. Try us for your business Grand Opening, Open
House,or Corporate Event. We are also available for photo
shoots
or just allowing your family/clients a hands-on opportunity to learn
about and enjoy these majestic creatures.
